We are a science and engineering innovator in the physical sciences field. We leverage government grants with private investment to develop and mature our technologies into products that we and our licensed partners can manufacture and sell directly to customers
Our current research focus is in the field of High Temperature Superconductors (HTS) with particular emphasis on single layer coated conductor HTS wire and multilayer cables using proprietary ExoCable™ technology.
High-temperature superconducting cables
We develop superconducting cables that combine high quench stability with low magnetization loss and high mechanical strength. The cables are designed for applications where fast ramping and good field quality are required.
Fast ramping superconducting magnets
We design and develop dry-cooled fast ramping high-temperature superconducting magnets. The magnet design minimizes magnetization and thermal losses to deliver a magnet that can be cooled by an inexpensive cryocooler.
Reel to reel processing
We design and develop advanced system for reel-to-reel processing and characterization of tapes and coatings.
Our facilities include reel-to-reel laser slicing system, cabling machine and a low-temperature, high-current setup for characterization of superconducting cables.
